What is included in an at-home COVID test in NJ?

Our mobile visits are easy. At-home testing includes a visit from a healthcare professional to your home/workplace for a COVID Rapid RT-PCR test. The test specimen is hand delivered on the same day to our in-house laboratory. Results are emailed to you on the same day. Simply Schedule your appointment here.

If you live outside of these areas (NYC, Central NJ, etc) but are willing to meet us, we are happy to help and see if we can provide you with convenient testing services.

What’s the difference?

With all of the different testing options out there, it can be confusion to understand which test you need. We make it easier to choose the best test for your needs. If you have any additional questions before scheduling, please do not hesitate to email us.

The gold standard in COVID testing is the RT-PCR test. It provides the most accurate results. We do not offer Rapid Antigen testing due to the variability in accuracy.

 
 

Both tests require a gentle nasal swab.
Both are molecular tests.
Both highly accurate with low rates of false positives and false negatives.

Lab RT-PCR: This is the standard test that most facilities offer, however the result turnaround is always variable and dependent on a laboratory’s demand and queue.

Rapid RT-PCR: This test is in our in-house lab, and offers the same accuracy as the standard lab RT-PCR Tests. With our efficient procesess, we can provide results in less than 12 hours!

 
 

Regardless of your results, you should continue to exercise universal precautions such as social distancing, quarantining, frequent hand washing, wearing of a mask or face cloth in public, and other CDC guideline recommendations.

FAQs

  • Under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act passed by congress patients are entitled to reimbursement for the cost of COVID testing. While testing may require an out-of-pocket cost, we encourage patients to seek reimbursement by their insurance companies by forwarding the invoice that includes diagnosis code, and tax ID number. A paid invoice can be sent to the patient’s insurance company’s claims department which will determine eligibility for coverage.

    Our practice does not bill any insurers for our services or submit any claims, including Medicare and Medicaid programs.

  • Payment is required at the time of booking. We will provide a paid invoice for the services. Patients can seek reimbursement by their insurance companies.

  • We offer the option of standard lab RT-PCR test sample to be sent to a commercial lab which may submit a claim to your insurance. This result takes 24-48 hours.

  • If you have an HSA or FSA, we accept these forms of payment for the cost of our services. Please confirm with your Benefits Administrator beforehand.

  • Once you schedule your appointment, you will have the opportunity to provide your payment card details. All transactions are made electronically.

  • We understand that life happens! While we are flexible with schedules, the full price of services is charged if you cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment.
