X-Ray

X-rays are a type of radiation called electromagnetic waves that create pictures of the internal body. X-rays are commonly used to diagnose fractures in bones but can also be used to diagnose pneumonia or monitor joint issues. The duration of the scan varies by body part and x-rays can be performed standing or lying down.
